For the last 4 years, I’ve been writing, developing, recording, editing, and producing video training titles for TechnicalLead.com, Inc. Most of these titles (more than 20 of them) have been Flash training titles, but I’ve also created a few titles for Photoshop and Dreamweaver as well. Technical Lead’s most popular website is LearnFlash.com, where I’ve somehow managed to make a name for myself as one of the top Flash trainers in the industry.
I realized I was becoming famous (and I use that word very loosely) when my wife was interviewing someone to replace her at her old job as an administrative assistant for a commercial refrigeration company. The interviewee mentioned during the interview that she had dabbled in Flash a little bit, and when my wife mentioned that her dear, sweet husband was a trainer for LearnFlash.com, the interviewee asked, “Craig Campbell?”
Swollen ego aside, I really have enjoyed (and indeed continue to enjoy) working for TechnicalLead.com. It’s by far the most rewarding job I’ve ever had. Knowing that I’m helping people to further their careers or hobbies is an amazing thought, and I feel immensely blessed that I’m able to do that.
For a little extra income (and to keep the creative juices flowing), I also do freelance web design work, and you can see my portfolio at craigsoup.com. Also, I like to dabble in photography and golf, and in late August of 2008, Lord-willing, my wife will be giving birth to our first child!
